The Rusk county public boat landing is only a half mile away from our house on Indian Point Road. The boat landing is user friendly with a dock to launch from. Rusk county has an outstanding ATV and snowmobile trail system. The trails use public and private land as well as many paved roads for a more comfortable ride. Trail heads are accessible from our lake home. The yard is big enough to accommodate haul trailers. You must inform us if you are planning on using ATV's, while staying here. The area offers several other large and small lakes with boat landings. The nearby Chippewa River can offer a leisurely float. Amacoy Lake golf course is a nine hole course with a club house just minutes north on Highway 40. Nearby public land is available for hiking, hunting, and wildlife viewing. Great food is always served at Fireside Bar and Grill. It is on Fireside lake. The Fireside Bar and Grill is accessible by boat, car, or walking. There are several other restaurants nearby as well. We live nearby and are available for check-in/check-out and any other service or information that could be needed.

Its located on a dead end road East of Bloomer, WI 3 miles North of HWY 64 & 124 intersection. 2 hours from La Crosse, 35 minutes from Eau Claire and 2 hours from Minneapolis. Water front on Hemlock lake with a dock which is 1 mile East of Marsh-miller lake. We have everything you need from pots, pans, paper towel and bedding to Kayaks and a paddle boat. Bring you food and clothes and enjoy your weekend!! The lake is about 30 acres big (no wake) about 7' deep at the end of the dock and around 25' deep in the center. There are kayaks, a paddle boat and a pontoon that can be used, we ask for additional $100.00 for using the pontoon for you entire stay. We are directly on the ATV trail and the snowmobile trail is just down the road around the corner (can ditch ride to get there). Great northern Wisconsin feel with peaceful nights enjoying the sounds of nature. Deck to just relax and enjoy the views of the lake. There is a TV with local channels and a DVD player with few a movies. Also a WII and board games for the rainy days. Built in 2005 there is over 750 square feet of elbow room for you to enjoy. Sleep in or enjoy some solitude for writing, retreating, etc., or enjoy all the recreational area has to offer, including fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, area fish fries, live music and so much more. No loud motors, boats or fish houses being backed into the lake just outside your door or party goers outside your windows since we're set back off the lake and in the woods on almost 10 acres. Close enough however to carry a canoe or kayak to the landing and start your day on the lake in just minutes! One of the most notable features of this guesthouse is a fully furnished eat-in kitchen with full-size appliances to prepare your meals (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and tea kettle). Dishes, glassware, pots and pans are all included. Not interested in making your own meals? No worries! The onsite services of a seminary-trained, fully ordained interfaith minister, mediator/arbitrator, photographer, videographer and keyboardist are available. Ceremonies can be held in front of the 22 foot river rock fireplace, on the chalet's wraparound deck, in the courtyard, in the forest or at the boat landing across the road. Guest list size is limited to preserve the natural woods, marshland and wildlife of Basswood Chalet & Guesthouse. There is a fiber internet connection in the chalet for those wishing to host small meetings in a more cozy environment, such as executive board meetings and small catered dinners. The kitchen and formal dining area is available for licensed caterers to assemble and serve meals. Sorry, no smoking and no guest pets. If you're missing the lovin's of a dog (or two), our two residents, Tucker (a Brittany spaniel) and Lilly (a miniature schnauzer) are always willing to fill in. The cabin is located on Lower Long Lake near the town of New Auburn, WI just 45 minutes north of Eau Claire, WI and 2 hours from the Twin Cities. The lake is fully recreational with 1100 acres to enjoy swimming, skiing, snowmobiling and some good fishing right off our dock too. The cabin has a full kitchen, three full bedrooms £ 2 bathrooms, and a four season sunroom. Book your summer vacation, fishing trip, snowmobile get away, or girls weekend in this up north retreat. Pontoon rentals are available on the lake for $175/day. The space Other than the beautiful cabin and the recreational lake the near-by town of Chetek offers plenty of fun activities for families, couples, and individuals. Take a twenty minute drive and head into Chetek to enjoy restaurants, bars, coffee shop, boutique shopping, library, and grocery store. Other things to note Below are some of house rules for your stay. 1. No loud parties and keep music at a respecful level 2. There are two public access docks where you can put a boat in. Kayak with life jackets are available for guest use. Please wear your life jacket! 3. Please stow lily pad every evening. 4. Bag all garbage and place in the storage room . Please separate recycling (this can be co-mingled glass, plastic, cardboard, etc). Do not leave garbage outside as it can attract bears/wolves. 5. Please do not set the air conditioning or heat lower/higher than 72. 6. No smoking. 7. Bring your own firewood. Gas stations in the area typically have bundles of wood for sale. Feel free to use any downed branches on the property for a fire however. 8. If you will be boating for fishing, water skiing, etc please obtain a copy of a map of the lake so you can avoid unexpected shallow water or rocky areas. 9. No fireworks! ~A guest book with house rules will be available at the cabin with more details about the property, as well as check out procedures. Fishing dock, adult kayak, fire pit with chairs, water raft in the lake. We also have a gas grill and grilling utensils for your use. If you run out of propane, it is available at the Corner Store (BP at Hwy 40 and M); however, we will always try to have an extra tank. There is a dock and a place for your boat to park, the water is clean and great for swimming. Jump off the dock and enjoy the water!

We have taken to calling this place the Tree Fort since it looks like it sits among the trees from the lake. We bought this place in 2005 and have done a complete remodel over the years and we really love it. We have family in the area and are friends with a lot of people on the lake, whom we regularly tie up with on the lake and take turns hosting gatherings at each others' cabins. The cabin is located 0n Lower Long Lake near the town of New Auburn, WI just 45 minutes north of Eau Claire, WI and 2 hours and 15 minutes from the Twin Cities. The lake is a good sized lake at 1100 acres. The lake is a good fishing lake and is fully recreational. The cabin has a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, a loft and great common spaces. Two of the bedrooms upstairs have queen beds and the third room has twin bunks with a trundle bed. The basement also has a queen bed and crib. There are also two couches for any overflow sleepers. Other than the beautiful cabin and the lake access, the near-by town of Chetek offers plenty of fun activities for families, couples, and individuals. Fish, kayak, and have a fire in the fire pit and roast hot dogs and make s'mores, sit on the dock and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the lake. Take a twenty minute drive and head into Chetek to enjoy restaurants, bars, coffee shop, boutique shopping, library, and grocery store. There will be information available at the cabin detailing local restaurants, bars, and other points of interest. Guest Access Guests will enjoy the following activities: Pontoon rentals are available at $175/day with multiple day discounts. Fishing dock, adult kayak, fire pit with chairs, water raft in the lake. We also have a gas grill and grilling utensils for your use. If you run out of propane, it is available at the Corner Store (BP at Hwy 40 and M); however, we will always try to have an extra tank. The shoreline is rip rapped but the water is clean and great for swimming. There are no weeds or muck. Jump off the dock and enjoy the water! Kids can play in the front or back yard and we have lots of yard games. Interaction with Guests Guests can check themselves in using a Schlage code on the front door. We will provide them with the code and change it after each reservation. A guestbook with more information will be left inside. We have another property on the lake so we may be enjoying time in the area with our sons Oliver and Elliott also. The Neighborhood The cabin is located near the end of a dead end road and there is not much traffic. It is a quiet neighborhood comprised of families and retirees. We are on the back side of the lake so our bay tends to be quieter, especially in the evenings. You will love the sound of the loons calling to one another across the bay. Keep your eye out for loon chicks! The cabin is located near the end of a dead-end road, so it is pretty quiet. Below are some of house rules for your stay. 1. No loud parties and keep music at a respecful level 2. There are two public access docks where you can put a boat in. An adult Kayak with life jackets are available for guest use. Please wear your life jacket! 3. Only approved pets on property 4. Bag all garbage and place in the provided bins. Please separate recycling (this can be co-mingled glass, plastic, cardboard, etc). Do not leave garbage uncovered outside as it can attract bears/wolves. 5. Please do not set the air conditioning lower than 72. 6. No smoking. 7. Bring your own firewood. Gas stations in the area typically have bundles of wood for sale. Feel free to use any downed branches on the property for a fire however. 8. If you will be boating for fishing, water skiing, etc please obtain a copy of a map of the lake so you can avoid unexpected shallow water or rocky areas. 9. The Chippewa Moraine Ice age trail is nearby and offers visitors numerous trails both long and short.  There is also an abundance of state and county lands to explore nearby, There are 5 golf courses nearby that are open to the public and there are miles of ATV Trails to explore. The Snowmobile trail runs right on the lake out in front of the house with 1,000's of miles of trail to access without having to trailer anywhere.

It has a maximum depth of 25 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. (No cost) Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The property has beautiful views year round of the lake which can be seen throughout the home. The deck is located 20ft from the water, with a nice large dock with chairs, table, bench and stairs, with a handle, into the water. It is a Great Lake for swimming and fishing. The home is a 2 bedroom (queen bed in each room) and 1 bath, living room has 3 futons that can be used as sleeping space, with a Full kitchen. Large kitchen bar to gather at. We have many extras such as board games and TV with Hulu on it for the times you just want to stay in and relax. In the summer, there is an Aqua lily pad and 2 kayaks available (Life jackets provided) (use at own risk) These are included with your stay. The public boat landing is just a few minutes from the house. You can ride your ATV from the driveway to reach trails, bars and restaurants. You can also catch your supper off the dock! In the winter you can reach snowmobile trails from the lake and the lake is good for ice fishing. If you needed any quick groceries or gas, their is a convenience store in Jim Falls, just minutes away. There is a wonderful country Bar/supper club within 5 minutes of the house called , “Old Abe’s Supper-club” Look it up to dine in or call for take out. A near by town to visit while you are in the area is Chippewa Falls. It has a small town feel but many things to do. One place the whole family would enjoy is, Irvine Park. It is a free park with a petting zoo and many hiking trails. They also have an outside Bear and Lion Den exhibit along with others misc. animals from monkeys to Buffalo. You can take a walk downtown Chippewa and visit our great restaurants and along the way you will have to stop at a few hot spots like Olson’s Ice Cream and the candy store. Mason Shoe Store is a popular place to go along with some other boutique shops in town for the shoppers of the group. Chippewa Falls is also the home of Jacob Leinenkugels Brewery. They offer tours and have a beautiful lodge to enjoy some of their samples. There is also a Distillery/Brewery in town. Head toward the river to the “Chippewa River Distillery” They have an upper outside deck that has a beautiful view of the Chippewa River. This is a beautiful area for a quiet get away any time of year.

This beautiful, newly renovated home was the home my husband grew up in. We put a lot of work into fixing it up so we could share it with others. It is out in the country down a dead end road, but still only a few miles from the town of Ladysmith. The yard is a work in progress, but the inside of the home is clean and almost all brand new. This home is about a mile from a little county park on the Dairyland Resevoir. There is a boat landing at the park. We do have a couple of bikes available upon request. The main bedroom and bathroom are both on the lower level with two more bedrooms upstairs. This cottage sits 50ft off the Majestic Potato Lake. It sleeps eight (8) comfortably. It allows you the modern comforts for cooking, sleeping and relaxing. All new appliances and recently updated floor plan. We have a bay window that over looks Potato Lake. You can spot Eagles, Loons, ducks and other birds from the Cottage. You can fish 50 ft from the Cottage. The view is breathtaking and will bring you and your family back time and again. NO TV No WiFi. Just good old fashion Northern Wisconsin.

Three bedroom cottage almost on top of the water. Fall asleep at night listening to the waves lapping the shore and a cool breeze blowing through the window. Round Lake is one of the top 5 cleanest lakes in Wisconsin. Spring fed, algae free and sandy bottom (not much of a need for water shoes). Go swimming and come out clean! Fish for Walleye, Musky, Bass, Bluegills, Northern Pike and more. The clean water continues inside the house - high pressure, extensively filtered (no orange hair), and great for drinking so no need to bring bottled water. Kayaks, windsurfers and sailboats are available! BYOB (bring your own boat) and tie it up to the dock - there's a public boat ramp available at no charge (but PLEASE clean your boat and trailer off before you bring it so we can help keep the lake algae and invasive species free)! Hold your sweetie's hand while you sit by the fire and enjoy the sunset. We have everything needed for s'mores and more. BIG OPEN YARD - the roadside yard has been home to many a game of softball, volleyball, kick the can, hide and seek, badminton, horse shoes, football and bacce-ball. Luggage rack provided to make things a little easier for you. (Disclaimer: Master does not have a door. A floor to ceiling privacy curtain hangs in the doorway). ..o 2nd bedroom has a double bed and luggage rack ..o Middle bedroom has a queen bed. Limited space around the bed but room for night stands. This was updated at the end of the season and no pictures were taken. It is just like the 2nd bedroom but has a bigger bed. ..o Extra linen, blankets and pillows in all bedrooms. ..o Ample floor space for at least 3 air mattresses (not provided). ..o One bathroom with shower/tub combo has new fixtures. ..o Bath and beach towels, a fresh bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner, Qtips, cotton balls and toilet paper (1 roll per day of the good stuff) are provided. Washer and dryer with laundry detergent, fabric softener sheets are provided. ..o Full size refrigerator in fully equipped kitchen. ..o Weber grill (bring your own charcoal) ..o No dishwasher (unless you bring the kids!) ..o Salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise provided as well as a start up supply of coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar. Most spices are on hand, also. ..o Dining table showed in pictures has extensions also stowed away in the closet and can seat up to 10 (let us know in advance and we can bring in more chairs and have it set up for you). ..o One AC window unit is in the family room. No other rooms have AC. With the prevailing winds coming off the cool lake, it is rarely needed. ..o Small electric space heaters are stowed in closets. ..o Game table with a handful of board games and chess in the family room. ..o Roadside small screened porch is a great place for playing or sitting in the event of rain.
